Fortnite Addiction


One day I found this game and it was called Fortnite.


I decided to play on it so much I got that addicted. I played on it everyday; it’s like being in a real war.


One day I got so addicted, I was on it all day! Then my mum told me to come off it -  I said, "I can’t; I love this game so much because it’s a good game to play."


The next day I found out my game went missing then I found it and decided to play on it again because it was such a good game.


I couldn’t stop until I went to bed.


 I think it’s a good age for kids because it’s fun to play.

The Hunter's Footsteps

It was icy cold, and I was wearing no shoes.  Each footstep fading behind me, I had no idea where I was going or if I would get back.  The whistling of the wind entwined with the howl of wolves had always soothed me. As I hiked up the hill barefoot, alone and peaceful, I knew this was where I wanted to be, where I wanted to live. But today, today there were no wolf howls, and the whistle was more like a scream, and I knew he was coming. I knew I wasn’t safe….I kept going. That was the biggest mistake I ever made. I died that day because the wolves had followed me. He killed us all. Nobody ever cared…. My peaceful place, was my death place. Felicity Year 8

Our last competition of the year! The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is the biggest award for writers aged 11-17.  It welcomes poems on any theme and any length.
