Mario Take Down


Screech!!!!!

The tyres on my motorbike screeched like a banshee as I skidded round the corner. In front of me was a row of glittery bonus icons & I smashed into a double icon. An Electric Blue Shell & a bomb - Nice.

Shooting the Shell forward, it ruptured into a blazing ball of electricity; flinging a hairy Donkey Kong & a tiny Toad up into the clear sky. They crash landed back onto the plain grey track. I zoomed past them. Knowing they had no chance of winning they tootled behind debating the flashy red stripes on my amazing bike. 2nd place- this could work.

I still had the bomb left & I could see Mario - I can’t let him win AGAIN, he is so boastful. Blasting forward, I shot the bomb at the unsuspecting Mario.
Tick… Tick… Tick… 

BANG!!!

It exploded, Launching him into the sky like a rocket. It was hilarious seeing the pride of 1st place drain from his face when I darted past him - "Mamma Mia” he cried. 

I could see the finish line. It was so close. 3, 2, 1… 1st place. I had done it! ME! - I had won!!!

The Hunter's Footsteps

It was icy cold, and I was wearing no shoes.  Each footstep fading behind me, I had no idea where I was going or if I would get back.  The whistling of the wind entwined with the howl of wolves had always soothed me. As I hiked up the hill barefoot, alone and peaceful, I knew this was where I wanted to be, where I wanted to live. But today, today there were no wolf howls, and the whistle was more like a scream, and I knew he was coming. I knew I wasn’t safe….I kept going. That was the biggest mistake I ever made.
